These Terms govern your use of ScanMyJunk. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Your account
You can use ScanMyJunk as a guest, or create an account with your email address or with Sign in with Apple. You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. As a guest, your scans stay on your device and are not synced.
Appraisals are estimates
ScanMyJunk uses AI to estimate the resale value of items from photos. These estimates are approximations provided “as is” for convenience. They are not appraisals, financial advice, or a guarantee of any sale price. Where available, an estimate may be informed by the prices of comparable items currently listed on third-party marketplaces; those figures are aggregated for reference only and are not endorsements, offers, or guarantees. Always do your own research before buying or selling.
AI-generated listings
ScanMyJunk can generate draft listing text (titles and descriptions) from your item’s details for you to use when selling elsewhere. This text is produced automatically as a starting point. You are responsible for reviewing it for accuracy and for following the rules of any marketplace where you choose to post it.
Acceptable use
Use ScanMyJunk lawfully. Don’t misuse the service, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, or use it to infringe others’ rights. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and content you create. You grant ScanMyJunk a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the features you use — for example, appraising an item and syncing your collections.
Purchases & subscriptions
ScanMyJunk requires an active subscription. New subscribers may be offered a free trial on the yearly plan; if one is available, its length and the price after it are shown on the purchase screen before you buy.
• Yearly (auto-renewing): renews each year at the then-current price.
• Monthly (auto-renewing): renews each month at the then-current price.
A free trial converts into a paid subscription automatically when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it does. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID account settings. Free-trial eligibility is determined by Apple and is generally limited to one per Apple ID.
If you previously bought lifetime unlimited access, that purchase still applies and no subscription is required.
Apple processes all payments and handles billing, renewals, restoration, and refunds under its terms. Prices vary by region and are shown before you buy. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Termination
You may stop using ScanMyJunk and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the service and its users.
Disclaimers
ScanMyJunk is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don’t warrant that price estimates are accurate or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScanMyJunk is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from price estimates or your use of the app.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
